Back to normal?

Well, not quite.... I've just gotten my new cable modem installed which has boosted my speed to an increadible 50mb/s!! I've also just discovered that my trusty Linksys router can't keep up, so I'll have to retire it and get a faster one, other wise I'm stuck to around half speed - damn.

So, I need to put my room back in order (theres upturned desks and what-not) then I can setup the plus4 again and start to get back to work. I've been thinking about my electronics again, and I really want to get back to doing some more - before I forget it all, and this lead me to thinking about doing a better download system. You see, as it stands I need a parallel cable/port and thats limiting - particually since I have to switch my machine off/on to enable the driver and plug in the C64 or Plus4. So I was thinking about a USB cable. Theres a few USB to serial cables, and if I did that (along with a PIC or something at the other end), I could pretend its normal parallel cable on the Plus4 side, but do serial on the PC side. This would also mean it was suddenly hot plugable, and allow me to plugin multiple machines at once; not to mention being able to download without rebooting.

So, I may start to look at that kind of thing this year too.

50 megabytes per second! Holy mother of letter F! Here we have usually somewhere near 15kb/s. But at least it's unlimited.

They don't appear to have enabled the cap on it yet. The 20Mb one is capped at around 3Gbs a day, but only at night (when everyone else is on), but I downloaded gigs last night without a problem.

6Megabytes a second is staggering!

the xeo3 download links are broken ...

They are working fine for me here, but I have noticed issues with other domain names.

can you please mail me the four zips of xeo3. i'm not able to download these files.

Well, I'm not going to start emailing individual people with the ZIPS. :)

I've changed the links on the blog menu, so try downloading from there. If you can't, then theres an issue with your ISP and you should take it up with them.

The problem is in frame (37kb). You cannot link it to a file directly (Because it returns downloadable content-type meta. That's done for security purposes, i guess) That's why nobody can download anything from visiting site through xeo3.org domain.

Also there was problem with mikedailly.com and hhttp redirect typo, i'm happy it fixed :)

Just played the game first time and completed test level. It's really nice!

Also it was kinda unobvious what to do here (53kb). I thought i should wait for all baddies fly out.

.ZIP files should be fine as the metadata is built into browsers. Usually the problems lie with the .PRG types which browsers don't know about; I've now added these to the .htaccess file so down loading of .PRGs should be better. However, right clicking and doing save-as is usually a catch all for these kinds of errors.

Your supposed to shoot through all the baddies to hit the one thats spawning them. Its kinda hard to see as theres only one sprite in the demo. The full game would make it clearer.
